SYRACUSE – Chautauqua-Wawasee has received notice that Purdue University has announced the cancelation of all extracurricular events which includes Purdue Varsity Glee Club performances.

“We are very disappointed because this impacts the Purdue Varsity Glee Club performance scheduled for April 24 here in Syracuse. Ticket sales have been very brisk and would have sold out due to the high level of interest in this group,” said Mark Knecht, Chautauqua’s executive director.  

“We are in the process of refunding all ticket sales today, and that process will complete by March 12.  To be clear, the April 24 event is canceled. We have been given a tentative reschedule date in October, and will share more information once this is finalized with Purdue and Oakwood Resort where the performance will be held. We expect to have more information within a week.”
