SIDNEY – The Kosciusko County Republican Party will have a caucus on Feb. 25 to fill the vacancy of the Sidney clerk-treasurer.

The vacancy was created with the resignation of Etta Hurd, who had accepted the job less than a month ago. She resigned Feb. 10 for personal reasons.

Declarations of candidacy are available at the office of Kosciusko County Clerk, 121 North Lake St., Warsaw, and must be filed with the Ragan no later than 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22.

Since Sidney only has one Republican Precinct Committeeman (Tony Ciriello), the Republican County chairman will fill the vacancy.

The position will be announced in the Sidney/Jackson Township Fire Station Meeting Room, in Sidney, at 6 p.m. Feb. 25.
