Ady Stitcher, a third-grader at Triton Elementary, passes out slime to Triton pre-schoolers during Triton Gives Back Day, Friday, Sept. 20.

BOURBON — Over 1,000 individuals mobilized for Triton Gives Back Day on Friday, Sept. 20, according to a news release from Triton School Corporation.

Triton Gives Back Day is an annual day of service where Triton scholars are encouraged to think of others over self.

“Mission accomplished,” said Jeremy Riffle, superintendent of Triton School Corporation regarding the day’s activities.

Among the many participants was Ady Stitcher, a third-grade student in Mr. Kreft’s room at Triton Elementary School.

Using funds from her Slime Lab booth at a previous Food Truck Friday in Bourbon, Stitcher made and distributed slime for Triton Pre-Schoolers.

“She definitely lives the Trojan Way,” said Riffle.

“Beyond blessed” and “We should do this more often,” were some of the comments made by those involved in the day of service, Riffle said.

Other activities were also held in conjunction with Triton Gives Back Day.

Pictures and videos of Friday’s efforts will be put into a Triton Trojan Spotlight video.

A car wash was also part of the fun.
