HUNTINGTON COUNTY — The Indiana State Police investigated a single-vehicle rollover crash in rural Huntington County Monday morning, Aug. 5 in which the driver, two toddlers and an infant escaped without injury after their vehicle was involved in a rollover accident.

At about 9:50 a.m., Trooper Jason Ward was called to investigate a single-vehicle rollover crash that occurred on Old Fort Wayne Road north of CR750N, in Huntington County in which a silver Dodge Journey crossover utility vehicle, driven by Jill Abbott, 31, of Roanoke, ran off the road and hit a concrete drainage structure, causing it to roll over several times before coming to a rest, according to a state police news release.

Abbott’s vehicle sustained extensive damage. Often, such accidents result in serious injuries, but officials point out that all of the occupants — the driver and three children ages 3, 2, and 7 months — were using proper safety restraint systems and were uninjured, according to a news release.
