MISHAWAKA — NorthWood’s boys track and field team split a three-way meet with host Mishawaka and Riley Tuesday night.

The Cavemen topped the pile with a score of 73, followed by the Panthers’ score of 54, while the Wildcats tallied 30.

Landon Parker won both the 100- and 200-meter dashes and was part of Wood’s winning 4×100 relay team alongside Taylor Knight, Brock Lehman and Bronson Yoder. Lehman and Yoder combined once more with Jacob Mitschelen and Tyler Evers to win the 4×400, and Yoder also won the long jump with a personal-best 22’6” clearance.

Garrett Miller took first in the high hurdles, and Brad Demitruk won pole vault with a PR of 12 feet.

Results from the girls meet were not available.

NorthWood track will return to action with a girls-only Northern Lakes Conference three-way at Elkhart Memorial on April 9. The boys will open their NLC schedule the following Thursday, April 11, with a home meet versus Northridge and Goshen.
