Triton’s boys cross country team split a Hoosier North Athletic Conference meet with host Winamac and LaVille Tuesday, falling 17-38 to the Warriors but beating LaVille’s no score.
Russell Reichard paced the Trojans in fifth place with a 19:20 stop, while Brandon Kitch finished just eight seconds back in sixth. Josiah and Jesse Page were eighth and ninth, respectively, in times of 19:57 and 20:41. Trent Barnhart completed Triton’s team score with a 22:55 time for 10th place out of 12 runners.
In the girls’ race, meanwhile, Winamac was the only team to field a full squad.
Makenna May finished third out of 11 runners with a personal-record time of 24:35, while Annie Hill was sixth in 25:59 for the Lady Trojans.
NORTHWOOD 27, ELKHART CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 32
NorthWood’s girls cross country team collected a win on the road at Elkhart Christian Tuesday.
Megan Miller ran an impressive 22:12 to lead the Lady Panthers. Riley Hershberger displayed a strong kick to outlast an ECA runner and seal the win for NorthWood.
