SYRACUSE — Brittany M. Hendrix, 33, Worthington Street, Portage, was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital with neck and back pain following a three-vehicle collision this afternoon Friday, Sept. 14. The accident occurred at approximately 1:35 p.m. at Bowser Road and CR 300E.

Two people from this vehicle were checked by paramedics after it struck a another vehicle.

Hendrix was westbound on Bowser Road, in a Buick Century, making a left turn. Hendrix turned in front of a southbound Ford Windstar driven by Mary J. Harris, 61, South Shew Street, Albion. After impact the vehicles spun around and a southbound Toyota Tacoma, driven by Joshua V. Thomas, 28, Sunday Lane, Winona Lake, struck the Hendrix vehicle.

Hendrix was extricated from her vehicle by Milford Fire Department.

Occupants in the Harris vehicle were checked by paramedics with Lutheran EMS and signed off on treatment at the scene.

In addition to Milford Fire Department agencies responding included Syracuse Police and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department. The accident was investigated by Indiana State Police.

Damage is estimated up to $10,000 to all three vehicles.

The driver of this Buick Century failed to yield to a southbound vehicle, getting hit by that vehicle and then struck by another vehicle. The driver complained of neck and head pain and was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital.
