
CULVER — NorthWood’s boys tennis team fell 5-0 to Culver Military Academy in a rare Friday evening match in Culver.
Wes Troyer took Niko Warnholtz to three sets at 1 singles but lost 6-2, 5-7, 6-2, and Ben Vincent was competitive in a two-set loss to Henry Bilicic at 2 singles, 6-4, 7-5. Trajan Schwartz and Jack Wysong stretched Topher Bower and Vince Huang to 10 games in the second set at 1 doubles but still fell in straight sets, 6-0, 6-4. Landon Holland lost 6-3, 6-1 to Peter Gallagher at 3 singles, and Grant Topping and Dawson Bley lost 6-1, 6-2 to Paul Wilson and Jordan Craig at 2 doubles.
NorthWood’s JV also lost 6-2. Chase Horner beat Conner Lee 7-5 at the top singles position, and Zach Parisi and Bryce Harner defeated A.J. Davidson and Leo Bu 7-6(2) at the top doubles spot.
The varsity Panthers slide to 2-2 with the loss. They host Bremen Monday at 4:30 p.m.
