It’s hard to believe, but our local Knights of Columbus, Council #4511 has been sponsoring the Tootsie Roll Drive since 1986. In that 32 years, members and their volunteers have raised over half a million dollars for programs helping people with disabilities. Every penny of that money has remained here in our community.

Last weekend, the Knights held their 2018 Tootsie Roll Drive all over Warsaw. No doubt, your readers saw volunteers in bright yellow vests, waving Tootsie Rolls and collecting donations from generous members of our community! The funds will benefit Cardinal Services, Magical Meadows and Special Olympics.

Cardinal Services offers our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful men at the Knights of Columbus, Council #4511 for their friendship and ongoing support of people with disabilities. Others who deserve our thanks: members of Sacred Heart parish, every community volunteer who grabbed Tootsie Rolls and donned a vest and the thousands of people who stopped, opened their hearts and their wallets and dropped something into the pitcher. Thank-you!
