WARSAW – The Warsaw bowling team made some history Saturday.

The keglers became the first squad to earn a spot in the State Finals.

Warsaw finished in fourth place in the 12-team semistate field at Lafayette to punch their ticket to State. The State Finals will be contested this Saturday at Championship Lanes in Anderson with the team portion of the event starting at 2 p.m.

The Warsaw team started its tournament trail with a second-place finish at the Logansport Sectional two weeks ago. The squad then placed second at the Kokomo Regional before finishing fourth at Lafayette.

The State-bound team consists of Ryan Seibold, Tim Robbins, Aric Krallman, Hunter Jackson, Dallas Anders, Jason Veach, Trevor Stichter, Jacob Simpson and Trenton Seibold.

The Warsaw team is coached by Kirk Wyman, Glen Ransbottom, Chris Anders and Kenny Simpson.
