Whitko Basketball: Reiff Drops 31 On Chargers

LIGONIER — The Whitko girls basketball team rebounded nicely from its first defeat of the season.The ladies traveled to take on West Noble Tuesday night and enjoyed a 77-67 victory behind a 31-point effort from Aly Reiff.
Reiff scored 14 points in the first half, 12 of which came in the second quarter, to help lift the Wildcats to a rebound win following Saturday’s defeat at Penn. Brianna Cumberland added another 17 points for Whitko to aid in the winning effort. Kennedy Krull tallied eight for the visitors as well. The Lady ‘Cats were 30-36 from the line in the win. West Noble was led offensively by 16-point outings from both Madison Schermerhorn and Lauren Burns.
Whitko (11-1) will look to improve to 4-0 in the Three Rivers Conference when it hosts Tippecanoe Valley in a conference showdown this Saturday.
