BOURBON — As a visual for everyone in the community who have been saving bottle caps for Triton Elementary School, is a picture of a bag with approximately 500 pounds of caps.

These bags full of caps will be headed off to Green Tree Plastics in Evansville to be made into benches for the school’s playground and courtyard area at Triton.

To date, the community has collected five of these bags. This is 2,500 pounds saved from area landfills that will be turned into something that many will enjoy for years to come.

Thanks to the Marshall County Recycle Depot for taking these caps down to Evansville next month. They’ll return with the benches!
