Special Interest Money Pouring Into Race
Dear Editor: Something very strange is happening in the Third District Congressional race. Reports from the press and the Federal Election Commission, show huge amounts of outside, special interest money pouring into this race. Why? Money buys influence, of course.
On one end of the spectrum, there is a candidate for which the total of all PAC, conduit, special interest and third party independent spending is double what that person raised from individual donations.
On the other end of the spectrum, is Dr. Pam Galloway, who has self-funded two thirds of her campaign. No one owns Pam Galloway.
In surgical practice, she was a tireless advocate for her breast cancer patients. In politics, she will be an unencumbered advocate for Hoosiers of the Third District.
The time has come to make a choice. Who is speaking from the script, and who is speaking from the heart?
