Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber Hires New Executive Director
SYRACUSE — Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce announced the appointment of Andrea Reed as its new executive director. Reed will assume her responsibilities beginning the week of April 4, following a short transition period working with Tammy Cotton, who has stepped down to pursue other community-based projects.
Reed recently completed two years with the Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce as event manager, being responsible for chamber events, sponsorship and membership programs. Prior to that position, she served as the receptionist. A graduate of Warsaw Community High School, Reed has studied at Indiana University South Bend and Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne.
“We are very happy to have Andrea join the Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber,” said Tricia Small, chamber board president. “She’s very capable and has great experience working with a membership organization. The board and membership is looking forward to working with Andrea to fulfill our mission of enhancing our community as an ideal place to live, work, shop and play.”
“I’m looking forward to meeting our chamber members and working in this community,” said Reed, “I hope people will stop by the office and introduce themselves.” Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce office is located at 108 E. Main St., and is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
