Warsaw, Whitko Boys Compete At HSR
WEST LAFAYETTE – The Warsaw boys track team had a trio compete Saturday in the Hoosier State Relays State Meet at Purdue University to wrap up the indoor season.
Brock Riley led the way for the Tigers with a 13th place finish in the high jump with a top effort of 6-2. Tommy Hickerson placed 18th in the long jump with a performance of 19-9.25 and Dylan Childers was 19th in the shot put with a toss of 45-5.5.
Warsaw competed in the Large School Division at the finale indoors.
Whitko placed 13th out of 35 teams in the Small School Division with a trio of place winners.
Walker Hobbs finished in third place in the shot put with a throw of 52-1 to lead the Wildcats. Gavin Howard was fourth in the shot put with a throw of 50-4. Alex Morales placed eighth in the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.84.
Warsaw will open its outdoor season by hosting Penn Tuesday at 5 p.m. Whitko returns to action in the Whitley County Meet on April 7.
