MILFORD — Milford Fire Department, with a full assist from Leesburg, is responding to a barn fire reported at 965 E. Mock Road, between Grove Road and CR 100E. Tanker assists has been called from Turkey Creek Fire Territory and New Paris Fire Department.

With the winds coming from the south, the flames are blowing towards the mobile home on the property. Firefighters are working strenuously to keep the flames from spreading to the residence.

According to information from the scene, REMC repairmen were at the property servicing a transformer fuse on a pole when the fire started. Initial indications are the cause is electrical.

Lutheran EMS has been called to the scene as well.

According to the Kosciusko County Online mapping system the property is owned by Stan and Natalie Stump.
