NORTH WEBSTER — For 18 years it has been The Tippecanoe Watershed Foundation. The Tippecanoe part of the name as often been mistaken as representing only Lake Tippecanoe. Following a lengthy discussion, surveys and focus groups, TWF has renamed itself to “The Watershed Foundation.”
TWF has focused on improvising water quality in the upper Tippecanoe River watershed. The support and generosity of the community as been the main reason TWF has been able to implement over 150 water quality improvement projects, and education the public on how to live responsibly for the benefit of the land, lakes and streams.
The renaming is an important part of the growth of TWF’s outreach programs and continued development of building supporters throughout the area. As part of the process of evaluating the image and messages, the group has also developed an outreach survey. Visit the website to tell TWF thoughts about its programs.
Although the name has changed, the mission has not. Individuals can continue to expect TWF to be the leader in water quality improvement partnerships and programs.
