WARSAW — Marshall County Prosecutor, Nelson Chipman, recently confirmed that Fabian Rubio of Bremen was transferred from Marshall County to Koscuisko County, but that it was a routine transfer.
The transfer was in exchange for Kevin Bronson, who had been booked in Kosciusko County on cocaine charges but was moved to Marshall County. This was a way to balance costs between the two jails.
Rubio was originally booked on charges of murder in the case of Desi Jones of Bremen, whose body was found last December in rural Marshall County. Chipman also noted that rumors linking Rubio to another murder that happened the same day are false.
Fabian Roman Rubio, 20, 2361 East Shore Drive, Bremen, was booked Wednesday afternoon in the Koscuisko County Jail on charges of murder.
Rubio was originally booked in Marshall County on charges of murder, sexual misconduct with a minor and abuse of a corpse in the case pertaining to Bremen teen, Desi Jones, whose body was found last December near Ewald Cemetery, also known as Little Egypt, southwest of Bremen in Marshall County.
Ink Free News is currently investigating why Rubio was moved to Kosciusko County.
