SOUTH BEND – In honor of South Bend’s year-long 150th birthday celebration, the South Bend Cubs have priced tickets to the Wednesday, September 2, game at $1.50.

Dubbed the South Bend 150 Celebration Game, the South Bend Cubs are partnering with the City of South Bend and the SB150 committee to offer the special pricing as a way to thank fans for their support of both the team and the city. SB150 is a year-long celebration of the city’s history, arts and culture.

Minor league baseball has been a part of the South Bend culture since 1988; team management says the franchise continues to bring new and old fans to Four Winds Field each week.

“South Bend has always had a tie to baseball,” said Joe Hart, President of the South Bend Cubs. “So this game is a great way for us to celebrate the city and the people of South Bend.”

The $1.50 ticket price includes entry to the South Bend Cubs versus Dayton Dragons baseball game and a calendar giveaway for the first 1,000 fans. Gates open at 6 p.m.; the first pitch will be at 7:05 p.m.

Tickets for the South Bend 150 Celebration Game can be purchased at SouthBendCubs.com or by calling the box office at (574) 235-9988.
