The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for portions of northern Indiana.

Severe thunderstorms are possible throughout the day and into the night. Heavy, damaging winds could accompany the storms. There is also a risk of large hail, and isolated tornadoes could touch down.

Heavy rainfall may come down throughout the day, adding to the high water issues already affecting the area. Flooding and flash flooding is likely.

Additionally, periodic thunderstorms are possible from Wednesday through Saturday of this week, especially from Wednesday evening to Thursday evening. Some flooding is possible should this precipitation occur.

Kosciusko, Elkhart, Noble, Marshall, Fulton, Whitley and Wabash counties are affected by the hazardous weather outlook.

A fog advisory has also been declared for portions of the aforementioned areas. Dense fog is likely in some areas, with localized visibilities down to a quarter mile.

Motorists should exercise caution and be prepared for rapid changes in visibility. The fog is expected to dissipate after 8 a.m.
