
The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for southwestern Elkhart and northeastern Marshall counties until 6:30 p.m. tonight, June 8.
At 5:55 p.m. a severe thunderstorm was located near Lakeville and moving east at 25 miles per hour. Quarter size hail and 60 mile per hour wind gusts are being indicated by radar. Hail damage to vehicles is expected with wind damage to roofs, siding and trees.
Areas to be impacted include Bremen, Wakarusa, Wyatt, Locke and Southwest.
Kosciusko County has been included in a hazardous weather outlook through this evening. Most of northern Indiana has been included in that outlook.
The outlook indicates thunderstorms are possible this evening, while severe storms are not anticipated, a few storms could contain small hail and gusty winds.
There is a chance of thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon into Friday. A few storms could approach severe limits on Wednesday.
