Warsaw Sports Wrap – May 15
The Northridge offense was clicking Friday for a Northern Lakes Conference win at Warsaw.
The Raiders piled up 13 hits in downing the host Tigers 12-2 in a Northern Lakes Conference game.
Northridge, which beat Warsaw 19-5 at home earlier this season, plated eight runs in the third inning to take control.
Ryan Marshall and Cole Baker each had two hits to lead Warsaw.
Isaac Lenon took the pitching loss for the Tigers.
Sam Troyer homered and drove in four runs for Northridge.
Warsaw honored seniors Brad Christenberry, Kevin Hawley, Ethyn Bradley, Ryan Marshall, Cole Baker, Tyler LaFollette and Jonathan Murphy on Senior Night.
Warsaw drops to 6-14 overall and 4-8 in the NLC.
The Tigers were scheduled to play a doubleheader at Carroll on Saturday.
Deisler Blanks Tigers
Sami Deisler was nearly unhittable in pitching Northridge past Warsaw 10-0 in a six inning contest Friday.
Deisler fired a one-hitter in the Northern Lakes Conference softball matchup in Middlebury.
Deisler is now 13-7 in the circle for the Raiders, who improved to 13-8 overall and kept pace with Concord and Wawasee in the NLC race at 9-2.
Sara Troyer had three hits and scored three runs for the Raiders.
Northridge won the junior varsity game 13-3.
Warsaw was slated to host its own Tiger Tournament Saturday.
