After reading, “The All American Slurp,” a story about understanding and appreciating other cultures, Mrs. McFarland’s sixth grade reading class at Triton Elementary School put their weekly skill of comparing and contrasting into a real world situation by comparing and contrasting chopsticks and forks.

They decided they’d all be very skinny if they had to eat with chopsticks.
