Whitko SportsThe Whitko girls tennis team took a 5-0 loss to Triton Tuesday.

Hannah Wanemacher led the winning Trojans with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Aurelia Slusher at No. 3 singles.

Undefeated Triton also got a 6-0, 6-0 win from its No. 2 doubles team of Emma Ross and Quinn Downing, who topped Blair Creamer and Natalie Iholtz.

Kaelyn Mason defeated Delaney Keirn 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 singles. Shayla May topped Mikayla Finley 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles.

The team of Kylie Mason and Kolbie Mason beat Jackie Werstler and Morgan Keirn 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles.

Triton improves to 5-0 on the season.

Triton will play at LaVille and Whitko will host Rochester today.

Baseball Loses To Peru

The Whitko baseball team lost 11-0 at Peru in a five-inning contest Tuesday.

Winning pitcher Cam Beauchamp fired a one-hitter with nine strikeouts and just one walks for the hosts. He also hit a home run for the winners.

Hunter Sroufe had the lone hit for the Wildcats. Zach Snep took the pitching loss.

Whitko, now 4-5, will face Southwood today at Parkview Field in Fort Wayne.

JV Baseball Team Rolls To Win

The Whitko junior varsity baseball team topped North Miami 16-2 in five innings Tuesday at home.

Nic Rose and River West each had two hits for Whitko, now 6-2 on the season.

Bailey Platt picked up his third pitching win of the season for the Wildcats.

Whitko will host Wawasee Thursday.
