Upcoming programs at Bell Memorial Public Library

DIY Industrial Pipe Hall Tree

Our DIY craft program this month will be an industrial pipe hall tree. Industrial pipe furniture is all the rage right now. Why not make one with us? This program starts at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 28. Cost is $16 and includes all materials. Sign up by Saturday, April 18, and prepay at time of registration to guarantee material availability.

Zumba and PiYo

We have zumba at 7 p.m. every Monday evening. Come and get fit with some Latin dance moves. PiYo is held at 6 p.m. every Thursday evening. Every third Thursday, PiYo is held instead at the Mentone Elementary gym.

Homemade Soap Raffle

For April and May we are having a raffle for homemade soap. These soaps are made by local craftsman Shaun Mudd. There will be 10 winners. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Soaps are on display by the circulation desk. Proceeds from the raffle will help support teen and adult programs.

Kid’s Spring Break Movie

“Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb” will be the movie shown during spring break. Bring your kids for popcorn and a movie.

Kids Lego Club and Snap Circuits

Lego club meets at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 11. There will be a contest with prizes for the best Lego design. Plus, explore a world of electronic circuits with Snap Circuits, an education toy where kids can build an interactive electric circuit board.

Adult Movie Matinee

Join us at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, for the movie “Best of Me,” based on the book by Nicholas Sparks. A story of high school sweethearts who find themselves reunited after 20 years when they return to their small town for the funeral of a beloved friend.

Kosciusko Literacy Services Book Discussion

Join Cindy Cates of Kosciusko Literacy services for a community read book discussion. We will be discussing Ray Bradbury’s book, “Fahrenheit 451” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 22. Pick up your free copy of the book at Bell Library.

Teens Anime and Teen Gaming Nights

Our anime movie night is held the fourth Friday of every month. This month’s anime is at 5 p.m. Friday, April 24. Anime movie night is for teens ages 13 and older. Teen video gaming night is held on the last Thursday of every month. This month will be at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 30. Teen gaming is for teens aged 11 and up. Cookies, chip and soda provided.

Euchre Game Night

The fourth Monday of every month, join us at the library for a night of euchre. You do not need to bring a partner. Coffee will be provided but bring your own drinks and a snack to share. Euchre night will be held Monday, April 27. Sign up if you would like a reminder call.
