Mary E. Durlin, 62, Bremen, died as a result of injuries she suffered in a one-vehicle accident shortly before 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26. The accident was on US 6 near Rose Road.

Two small children, in the vehicle, were not injured. They were in car seats in the rear passenger seats.

Indiana state Police report they arrived to find a 2000 Pontiac vehicle that collided with a deer on US 6 before leaving the roadway striking a tree.

The highway was closed for several minutes as crash re-constructionist and medical personnel worked at the scene.

The state police were assisted by Walkerton Police Department.
