ISP-welcomes-Ukraine-Police-for-cyber-crime-training

Ukrainian policeIndiana State Police headquarters welcomed a delegation of Ukrainian law enforcement investigators for cyber crime training Wednesday, Dec. 17. The Ukrainian representatives also toured ISP’s cyber crime office, learning about the forensic work performed by officers there.

The program was part of an exchange coordinated by the United States Department of Justice and Purdue University’s College of Technology to forge working relationships with foreign governments in matters associated with cyber crime. The collaboration will help law enforcement work together to detect and prosecute those responsible for crimes such as network intrusion, online child exploitation and online fraud.

Visiting members of the delegation included representatives from the Ukraine Ministry of Interior Cybercrime Division, as well as personnel from the Kiev National Police Academy, Odessa Police Academy, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, Security Service of Ukraine, The Ukrainian Scientific and Research Institute of Special Equipment and Forensic Expertise and the Kiev National Academy of Prosecutors of Ukraine, Ministry of Justice.
