Dear Editor,

I’m writing this letter to discuss yet another difference in the race for House District 22 which is state sovereignty. As each day passes we continue to lay witness to the intrusion of our federal government and the United Nations right down to the local level in such matters including but not limited to, healthcare, overtaking property rights, education and Common Core, proposed gun control, the many EPA regulations, forced relocation of the many illegal immigrants and the lack of protection of traditional marriage and religious freedom.

Our founders never intended for the federal government to gain this much control.

They delegated certain powers to the federal government and retained other powers to the individual states and to the people.

This is intended as a check and balance to safeguard our rights. Curt Nisly believes strongly in state sovereignty.

On the contrary, David Kolbe has said that he believes the United Nations in particular is doing a lot of good for us and has stated his backing of Obamacare. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want the UN or the federal government telling me how to live, where to live, what to eat and how to educate my children.

I strongly encourage you to choose wisely and vote Nisly on Nov. 4.
