The Triton Marching Band Trojans participated in the District Festival Class Competition at Crown Point High School on Oct. 4. This open class competition is sponsored by the Indiana State Music Association, and bands are judged on music quality, show design and performance.

The Trojans received a Gold rating which indicates that the band performed to its highest standards and that the music was of a high quality.

Three pieces of music were chosen for this years show, called “A Classic Portrait”, including Russian Easter Overture, Chorale from Jupiter the Planets, and New World Symphony.

The drill was designed and written specifically for the band by Matt Wyse, and the color guard routine was written and taught by the color guard instructor Kourtney Harris.
