Mary Johnson, 79, of Syracuse, Ind., passed away at 3:10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, in her residence.

On Aug. 18, 1935, she was born in Floyd County, Ky., to John B. and Ada (Coleman) Whitt. She married James Johnson in Wichita, Kan., on March 4, 1993.

Mary attended Trinity Faith Church, Sellers Lake. She was a good mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.

She is survived by four daughters: Donna Tolson, Campton, Ky.; Rose Gilstrap, Purcell, Okla.; Bonnie Endicott, Syracuse; and Sue Raber, Warsaw, Ind.; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, two sons and several brothers and sisters.

No visitation or services are planned.
