Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:

Tuesday, July 1, 4:05 p.m. 2500 block of U.S. 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Bryce J. Sims, 25, SR 114, Columbia City; and Zachary S. McCue, 23, 4th Street, Avilla. Sims backed in to McCue. Damages: up to $2,500

Tuesday, July 1, 12:55 p.m. SR 15 near West 600 South, Claypool. Driver: Dennis D. Miller, 71, Lincoln Miller, 71, New Haven; and Cassie S. Swihart, 61, Merry Estates Drive, Silver Lake. Miller attempted a U-turn and collided with Swihart. Miller was airlifted to Parkview Hospital, and Swihart was transported to KCH. Damages: up to $5,000

Tuesday, July 1, 5:23 a.m. East 300 South near South Country Club Road, Warsaw. Driver: Debbie S. McNees, 32, East 300 South, Warsaw. Driver struck a tree that fell into the roadway. Damages: up to $5,000

Syracuse Police Department

Officers of the Syracuse Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:

Tuesday, July 1, 1:30 a.m. North 300 East near East 1300 North, Syracuse. Driver: David M. Hall, 53, North 550 East, Syracuse. Hall’s vehicle was struck by debris causing damage to the right side of the vehicle. Damages: up to $5,000

Monday, June 30, 8:02 a.m. SR 13, Syracuse. Drivers: Eric A. Smoker; Cora M. Showalter. Smoker rear-ended Showalter. Damages: up to $25,000

Warsaw Police Department

Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:

Tuesday, July 1, 4:57 p.m. Winona Avenue near Bronson Street, Warsaw. Driver: Troy R. Duty, 53, Husky Trail, Warsaw. The rear tire of Duty’s mo-ped exploded and he lost control of his moped. Duty was transported to KCH for treatment of a broken leg and abrasions. Damages: under $750

Tuesday, July 1, 1 p.m. Buffalo Street near Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Alysha L. Cochran, 18, 575 North, Leesburg; and Christopher Anderson, 26, Main Street, Warsaw. Cochran proceeded through a green light and struck a police car. Cochran was cited for operating a vehicle without financial responsibility. Damages: up to $10,000

Monday, June 30, 12:42 p.m. 600 block of West 350 North, Warsaw. Driver: Hannah N. Kemerly, 21, Green Road, New Haven; parked. A parked vehicle, registered to Shelley S. Denny of Pinehurst, N.C., was struck in the T.J. Maxx parking lot. Damages: up to $1,000

Monday, June 30, 12:13 p.m. Indiana Street near Main Street, Warsaw. A vehicle registered to Kansas Newlin of Pierceton was struck in a public parking lot. No known suspects at this time. Damages: up to $1,000

Monday, June 30, 9:45 a.m. 1800 block of West Center Street, Warsaw. Driver: Tracey E. Mark, 44, Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw; parked. Mark backed into a parked car registered to Salvador Valencia of Warsaw. Damages: up to $2,500
