Fort Wayne Police have arrested a man for the July 18 murder of a former Warsaw resident. (See story)

Kirk Lecount, 42, was found deceased in the back yard of his home on Fort Wayne’s High Street last week. Today, police say Steven L. Lemler, 28, was arrested Friday and has been charged with involuntary manslaughter.

Eyewitness information helped police in making the arrest, according to a statement released by Fort Wayne Police. Lecount’s death was ruled a homicide as the result of blunt force trauma. Witnesses told police they saw Lecount in a physical confrontation the night before he was found dead.

Lecount was a graduate of Warsaw Community High School.

No funeral arrangements were made public.
