LAGRANGE – Wawasee found itself on the end of another walk-off baseball loss Saturday.

Nick Byler cracked a two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh as Wawasee lost its fourth game this season in an opponent’s final at-bat, this time 6-5 at Lakeland.

The Byler bomb spoiled what looked like a Wawasee comeback win. After exchanging four-run innings apiece in the fifth, Wawasee took a 5-4 lead in the seventh inning ahead of Byler’s walk-off heroics in the bottom of the seventh.

Wawasee (3-19) had two hits apiece from Nate Prescott and Donovan Navarro. The Warriors will face West Noble in Ligonier on Monday.
