Paul W. Hurst, 49, passed away at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, in Warsaw, Ind.

He was born Nov. 15, 1963, in Huntingburg, Ind., to Clarence and Mildred (Bleemel) Hurst.

Paul was a Warsaw resident since 1985 moving to Warsaw after graduating from Vincennes University in 1984 with an Associate’s degree in Business Administration. He was a former accountant for Ace Hardware of Warsaw and was currently employed by Payleap of Warsaw as a New Account Specialist.

Paul’s social affiliations include Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Warsaw where he served as a member of the Finance Committee, an usher and a collection counter.

Furthermore, he was a member of Archbishop Noll Council 4511 of the Knights of Columbus, Warsaw, since June 1, 1989, and was a 3^rd Degree Knight. He served the Knights of Columbus as the current council financial secretary and was formerly awarded the Financial Secretary of the Year Award for the state of Indiana. He was an active volunteer in all aspects of his church and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his loving family including his father: Clarence O. Hurst, Huntingburg, Ind; sisters: Susan (Richard Jr.) Marshall, Bloomington, Ind.; and Debra (Todd) Voegerl, Jasper, Ind.; a brother: Michael (companion Susan Miller) Hurst, Muncie, Ind.; nieces and nephews: Benjamin, Sarah, Hannah and Jacob Marshall and Autumn and Jordan Voegerl.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Mildred.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, with a 7:30 p.m. Rosary service in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Knights of Council 4511 will stand watch during the visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Warsaw. Father Phil De Volder will officiate the services. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
