SYRACUSE — With the new year just around the corner, the Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce sought to get 2016 events, budgets, membership packets and more in order at its regular board meeting Wednesday, Dec. 2.

SYRACUSE — Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce members will be receiving nomination letters, if they haven’t already, in the mail in preparation for chamber’s annual awards banquet. Members will then have until Dec. 1 to submit their nominees for the different award categories.

SYRACUSE — Sleigh bells may still be off in the distance for some, but the Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce has already secured a sleigh in preparation for Holiday Magic, occurring Nov. 21. During its regular board meeting Wednesday, Oct. 7, late-fall and winter events were the main focus.

For the past few years, the Wawasee Kiwanis have hosted the Winter Carnival Snow Mobile races and a soup supper to precede it. This year marks the fifth annual Soup Supper to be held at the Syracuse Community Center from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31. Soups are made and donated to the supper …read more.

Approximately 140 individuals attended the Wawasee Kiwanis Winter Carnival Soup Supper on Friday, Jan. 25, to sample 22 different varieties of soups and vote for their favorites.
