WARSAW — The city council chamber was somber at noon Monday, Oct. 5, for the monthly Warsaw Redevelopment Commission meeting. Pre-meeting conversation was almost non-existant, except to reflect among each other about the missing board member. When the meeting started, the seat of president remained vacant and his name plate was missing.
CROMWELL — The board members of Turkey Creek Regional Sewer District met for their regular monthly meeting Monday night, Sept. 21. The meeting tied up many loose ends, including the rate increase, and provided the public an opportunity to speak, although no public members attended.

According to John Julien of Umbaugh and Associates, “Cash is king,” and cash is what the town of Milford is lacking when it comes to proper maintenance of its water utilities.
Julien and Ross Hagen, also from Umbaugh, were on hand at the Milford Town Council meeting Monday evening, July 13, to present the water rate study the town commissioned in the spring of 2015.
The second reading of an ordinance to establish a hazardous material response fund and schedule of charges for services provided by the Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory was approved 5-1 Monday evening by the Warsaw Common Council. Monday night’s Milford Town Council meeting heard analysis from John Julien of Umbaugh and Associates on the financial condition of utilities and recommendations on how to proceed.
