AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley’s girls basketball team will host its annual fundraiser Tuesday, Sept. 20 at The Igloo in Silver Lake.

SILVER LAKE — Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church of God will host a fundraiser from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, at The Igloo, 108 W. Main St., Silver Lake. Proceeds will go to the church’s 75th anniversary celebration, set to take place July 16-24.

Those growing up in Silver Lake may remember The Igloo, operated by Forrest “Toby” and Marie Heckaman from 1959 to 1975. Their step-granddaughter, Marilyn McDonald, has brought back not only The Igloo but an ice cream stand to Silver Lake. Located at 108 W.
