PORTLAND, ORE. — A Portland woman got a pleasant surprise when her stolen car was returned home with an apology note—and even some gas money.

Mentone Officers with the Mentone Police Department investigated the following incident: Midnight, Monday, July 11, at the 300 block of West Main Street, Mentone. Leroy G. Worley reported a car stolen from a gas station.
