Shirley L. McVey, 88, Pittsboro, formerly of Mentone, died at 5:40 a.m. Sunday, June 21, 2015, at Brownsburg Health Care, Brownsburg. She was born April 9, 1927, in South Kingstown, Wakefield Village, R.I. to Ziba and Marian (Phillips) Young. She was married June 3, 1955, in North Kingston, R.I., to Rev. Norman McVey.
