INDIANA — Indiana Governor Mike Pence has declared September Preparedness Month in the state, urging Hoosiers to develop plans for coping with natural or man-made disasters and emergencies.

WARSAW — Downtown Warsaw is preparing for another fun filled first Friday. September’s event, titled “United on the Porsche,” will offer guests a variety of entertainment for all ages. NASHVILLE — The National Maple Syrup Festival will return for a second year to Brown County after a successful start in 2015. Slated for the first weekend in March of 2016, the festival will bring together maple syrup enthusiasts, hobbyists and producers from across the state and beyond to celebrate all things maple.

INDIANAPOLIS — Indy Jazz Fest returns with a 10-day lineup celebrating “The Year of the Song” in venues all around town Sept. 10-19. This year’s festival also includes a selection of family-friendly shows open to all ages. Many of the shows will be free.
