Winona Lake will be altering its trash pickup schedule for the week of May 25. Tuesday’s regular pickup will occur on Wednesday, May 27, and Thursday’s regular pickup will happen on Friday, May 29. Please adjust your refuse routine accordingly.

With warmer weather comes more people venturing out to enjoy nature. But with that, Indiana State Police are warning citizens to stay away from meth trash. The ISP Meth Suppression Section reminds everyone that trash left behind by those who have manufactured methamphetamine can contain toxic chemicals and can be flammable, corrosive and acidic. Please note that in observance of Independence Day, the City of Warsaw offices will be closed Thursday, July 4. Thursday’s trash pick-up will be on Friday, July 5. All other routes will remain the same.

Hunting season is now underway and, with that in mind, the potential exists that some deer and small game hunters may come across trash left behind by those who have manufactured methamphetamine.
