Mr. Melvin “Mel” Lawrence Swango, 67, Rochester, passed away at 2:49 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015, at Woodlawn Hospital. On Sept. 26, 1948, Mel was born in Rochester to Melvin Earl and Norma Jean Bishop Swango. Mel and Frankie L. Swope were married March 8, 1986, in Rochester.
