Memorial Day celebrations were limited this year due to COVID-19 and current social distancing restrictions, but each of the local American Legion posts met at area cemeteries to remember those who have served their country. While there were no parades held this year in Milford, North Webster or Syracuse, the community still gathered at each of the area cemeteries to remember and honor those who have died Monday, May 25.

Every crisis has new heroes. During the 9/11 attacks, they were the first responders running into burning and crumbling buildings as others ran out.  Now, during the Coronavirus pandemic, the most visible heroes are the health care professionals, who are saving others and risking their own lives while doing so.

The following is a list of Memorial Day weekend events happening in Kosciusko County, as well as a list of events that will not occur this year due to COVID-19 restrictions:
