John Collins Mannan

John Collins Mannan, 70, of Warsaw, passed away at 9:08 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27, 2015, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. On Feb. 7, 1945, John was born in Fort Wayne, to Collins and Dorothy (Hildebrand) Mannan. He was united in marriage to Jane Dryer on Nov. 26, 1991, in Bradenton, Fla., who survives. WARSAW — A select group of about 60 eighth-grade students from Edgewood Middle School and Lakeview Middle School recently participated in the OrthoWorx Innovative Careers Pathway Program. Participants learned about the orthopedic industry, advanced manufacturing career opportunities, the skills needed and the pathways to pursue those careers. The group also included five administrators, counselors and a teacher.

WARSAW, IN – Honor students at Ivy Tech Community College’s Warsaw Campus are gearing up to host a spooktactular event dubbed the “GMO Freak Show.” Participants will learn about genetically modified organisms and today’s use of them through experiments and story-telling. Attractions include: the spectacular spider goat; the wonder of golden rice; and, glow in the dark cats.

WARSAW — Kiwanis Club of Warsaw member Don Bergen was recently recognized for his contributions to the Eliminate project. Eliminate Chairman Michael Bergen, Alderfer & Bergen and President Renea Salyer, Junior Achievement of Northeast Indiana, presented the Zeller Award to Bergen.
