Julia ‘Red’ Scarbeary-Byrd, 100, of Syracuse, Ind., passed away on Aug. 30, 2013, at Millers Merry Manor in Syracuse. She was born on July 25, 1913, to R. Ramey and Rosa (Davis) Whitaker.
