The town has received a share of the special, one-time distribution of the local option income tax from the state of Indiana in the amount of $36,000.

Street repaving in some areas of the town of North Webster will begin this fall. At the Tuesday, Aug. 18, North Webster Town Council meeting, Phend & Brown, Milford, was the low bidder at $17.20 a square yard over two competitors, Niblock and Ranger Materials.

Citizens of North Webster will not be choosing a town clerk-treasurer or council members in November. Because only one candidate will be running for each office, the Kosciusko County Clerk has decreed no election will need to be held according to Indiana law and the deadline for filing for office has past.

NORTH WEBSTER — North Webster Town Council authorized the letting of bids for the demolition of the building at 611 N. Main St., after a hearing that began the council meeting Tuesday evening, July 21. Known as the former home of Penguin Point and a drive-in, the property met the criteria outlined in a North Webster ordinance and Indiana state code as being unsafe, vacant, blighted and unable to be used, according to Police Chief Greg Church.
