TIPPECANOE TOWNSHIP —A combine harvesting beans in a field Monday afternoon caused five separate fires Monday afternoon that resulted in four fire departments responding. The fire was at the intersection of CR 300N and CR 475E, south of the Barbee Chains in Tippecanoe Township.

Robert R. Laux, 71, 10020 S. 800E, Roanoke, died from internal injuries following a farm accident at 12:15 p.m. Friday, April 17. The accident was at 1849 W. Keiser Road in Whitley County.
