BROOKLYN – Thursday’s NBA Draft had a little local flavor with the selections of Notre Dame standout guard Demetrius Jackson by the Boston Celtics and Purdue’s AJ Hammons being taken by the Dallas Mavericks.

Notre Dame star Jerian Grant, after leading Notre Dame to its first trip to the Elite 8 since 1979,  has been named a first team All-American by the Associated Press.
