AKRON — The Tippecanoe Valley Middle School Spell Team took home first place in the Running Rivers Conference Spell Bowl held on Oct. 17 at Manchester Community Schools. ROCHESTER — After a hard-fought contest at the Tuesday evening, Sept. 29, Spell Bowl in Rochester, a quartet of writers representing The Shopping Guide News of Fulton County and The Papers Inc. walked off with a narrow victory at the Fulton County Literacy Coalition’s 16th annual fundraiser.

By SCOTT BACKUS Principal, Tippecanoe Valley Middle School The TVMS spell bowl team made their third consecutive trip to the Indiana Association of School Principals State Spell Bowl Finals at Purdue University. The bowl was held on Saturday, Nov. 15. The team finished 4th overall in Class 2, spelling 55 of 72 words correctly.
