KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — Christmas is a special time of year and local cities and towns want to help make it a special celebration for their friends, families and neighbors. One of the most popular ways to bring the community together for the holidays is with a Christmas tree lighting gathering.

SYRACUSE — Hosted by Lakeland Youth Center, Syracuse Parks & Recreation and the Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce, Holiday Magic is returning once again Saturday, Nov. 21. Featuring favorites like sleigh rides and visits with Santa and his reindeer, Holiday Magic offers fun for the whole family.

SYRACUSE — Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce members will be receiving nomination letters, if they haven’t already, in the mail in preparation for chamber’s annual awards banquet. Members will then have until Dec. 1 to submit their nominees for the different award categories.

SYRACUSE — At the Syracuse Parks and Recreation Board meeting Monday evening Oct. 12, the board discussed a number of potential items for the department’s five-year master plan.

SYRACUSE — Sleigh bells may still be off in the distance for some, but the Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce has already secured a sleigh in preparation for Holiday Magic, occurring Nov. 21. During its regular board meeting Wednesday, Oct. 7, late-fall and winter events were the main focus.
